Cleanse skin thoroughly before applying. Cover the affected area with 1 application daily, increase to 2 or 3 times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
• Use a gentle cleanser, just twice a day: avoid aggressive products like apricot or walnut shell exfoliators, which can irritate skin, or alcohol-based toners, which can dry it out
• Don't pick or squeeze: it can force bacteria deeper into the skin and may leave scars
• Avoid excess sun: it doesn't help out acne and can actually add to clog pores and discoloration
• Balance your stress levels and diet: while no scientific link to acne is proven, it's commonly believed that wellness routines and a high-nutrient, high-water content diet can help keep skin looking healthy
